It was a cold Friday morning in August 2013 that Angela and Chloe shared their produce from home with the people of Canterbury at Ohoka Farmers Market.

Coming from a family of orchardists in Gisborne, they missed the ability to have fresh produce straight from the orchard.  Gisborne is a place where everything grows. The rich alluvial Poverty Bay plains are renowned for their fertile, free-draining soils which suits citrus, grapes, avocados and many other fruit.  Add to that the fact that is the First City of the Sun in the world.  All a perfect mix for growing great produce.

The very first market did a roaring trade and so it made it an easy decision to share our great fresh seasonal produce with our fellow Cantabrians .

 Delicious Produce has evolved since then by extending the range of produce available to include all seasonal great-tasting deliciousness and also the markets we are a part of.  Lyttelton, Mt Pleasant, Amberley Farmers Markets, and North Canterbury Sunday market have been added to the weekly agenda.

 Chloe and her husband started their own company in the construction industry and also added a new addition to the family – a wee girl – so our family is growing and so is the business.
 Nowadays, we source not only the pick of the crop from our old hometown, but the pick of the crops from around NZ.

Our mission is to have NZ’s most delicious seasonal produce available.
